Adrian Brown
Adrian Brown held several CFO roles in Europe and Asia before landing in Arizona where he saved a flight training school from crashing.
Adrian credits his international experience – with its jumble of regulatory and compliance rules – for his success in turning around companies, helping access capital and top talent to fuel growth and profitability.
Adrian grew up in England. He then worked in England, Latvia, China and Hong Kong where he met his wife before moving to the US.
Adrian has worked for publicly traded multinational organizations, founder startups, and private equity (PE) backed businesses including a greeting card company in Hong Kong and an archery company in Walla Walla, WA.
As CFO of A1 Garage, the largest residential repair and replace garage door company in the US, Adrian has overseen 3x growth over a three year period. He helped guide the successful PE investment by Cortec Group in 2022.
In the Phoenix business community Adrian serves on the Communications Committee of the Financial Executives International (FEI) Arizona Chapter, launching its LinkedIn site in 2021, a leading source for all Arizona-related Accounting and Finance news. Adrian won FEI’s Arizona CFO of the Year Award in 2019 — the most prominent recognition by Adrian’s financial professional peers in the Arizona market.
Adrian holds a Masters Degree in Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems from Skema Business School in Paris, and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), American Institute of CPA, International Associate (AICPA), and Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA).
Adrian lives in Phoenix with his family. He has a passion for all things soccer (or football as he would call it). In his free time, he’s a volunteer mentor to the next generation of accounting professionals at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University.
