Paul Vercammen
Former Network Television Reporter
Storyteller/ Speaker/ Moderator
Paul Vercammen is a five-time Emmy award-winning journalist covering major news for CNN. Paul is now communications chief at ShelterBox USA.
“We can always count on Paul to deliver,” said CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “He is solid and knows news, and his track record proves it.”
Paul gets people to tell their stories. Rather than just reporting statistics on numbers killed and injured in the Paradise Fire that ravaged Northern California, Paul told the story of a heroic bus driver rescuing 22 school children.
In his 25 years as a network news reporter Paul has been seen everywhere – from elections, to court cases, to natural disasters.
Paul honed his skills at CNN, where the network gave Paul time to craft stories with a human connection.
In addition to his Emmy’s, Paul has earned Peabody Awards for CNN’s coverage of the Gulf Oil Spill and CNN’s election coverage.
