Ryan Goble
Ryan Goble is a firefighter-paramedic for the City of Beverly Hills. Ryan is also a husband, father, private pilot and former US Marine.
Ryan was born and raised in Fairfield, California, near Napa. He developed a love for the outdoors early on, spending his summers backpacking and fishing in the Sierras. His childhood was filled with baseball games, fostering a spirit of teamwork and perseverance that has carried him through life.
On September 10, 2001 – the day before 9/11 – Ryan’s life changed dramatically when he joined the US Marine Corps as a UH-1N (Huey) crew chief. His military service helped to shape his resilience and dedication.
Ryan was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. After separating from the Marines in 2006, he continued his career in aviation as a maintenance contractor until 2010 when he transitioned to public safety.
Ryan met his wife, Desiree, a former staff sergeant in the US Air Force, in 2010 at a Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. They married in 2011, and now reside in Thousand Oaks, California, with their three children and three dogs.
Ryan’s passion for service to others brought him to the fire service and in 2014 he joined the Beverly Hills Fire Department. After several years of rigorous training he became a firefighter-paramedic for the BHFD.
Ryan loves adventure, his family, and the great outdoors. When he’s not working saving lives he enjoys early morning hikes with his dogs, mountain bike rides with his kids, and flying single-engine airplanes with his wife Desiree.
Ryan’s journey has been diverse and fulfilling. Now, at age 41, Ryan is telling his story, mentoring others interested in military and first responder service. He’s most interested in connecting with like-minded professionals to explore new opportunities, to grow personally and professionally while contributing to their communities.
